Well, he didn't play baseball for like a whole year because the Cuban gov't punished him for trying to defect in Europe. You're not wrong in saying that he comes off as cocky, but that's because he's one of the few players that made it out of Cuba and into MLB, and was lucky enough to land on a bad team that couldn't get any worse.

He might be cocky about it, but maybe he doesn't know how to deal with all this new freedom, fame, and money he never had before?

Nah Bryce just had to deal with the growing pains of being a young star. He's still a kid, so the immaturity is to be expected, if anything, it's a testament to how passionate he is about the game
