Huh? Wayne been a top dog since Dedication 2 dropped in 06. Arguably before that really.

Lol @ flash in the pan

Not that many people have Wayne in their top 10, or even 20, was a thread made on here and he wasn't on that many lists.

I like Wayne, but he would have to drop songs in the quality of "Threats", "Allure", "Justify my Thug" and "Lucifer" all on 1 album...... Soooo no

He's gonna give you the "Encore", "What More Can I Say" and "Dirt off your shoulder" tracks though.

NO... BECAUSE HE'S NOT JAY Z.
Stop comparing nxggas. That's like saying Reasonable Doubt is no Illmatic... its not, why because he's not NAS. Wayne's debut album Tha Block is Hot at 17 was DOPE, it wasn't a Reasonable Doubt or Illmatic but it's Wayne. Look at all the unreleased classic material he has from Carter Sessions to Mixtapes such as D1 & D2, Drought 3, ect...

People are judging off his recent years. He's been rapping since 12, and I bet there is an era of Wayne you LOVED. Carter 1 - Carter 3 Sessions was my fav era of Lil Wayne, I hated most stuff after that, but I see he's still spitting, especially recently and I respect that. He will go down as top 5, if not 10 best rappers of all time.

I didn't make the thread title.... I'm just going with what you guys give me. All he had to say was this will be Wayne's "swan song", or at least list numerous lady efforts. It's not enough that Wayne idolizes Jay, then names his albums Tha Carter's. I'm just going to assume he means this album will have the format, structure, balance and impact of the black album

I see, i think took it too literal - By Black Album, I interpret that as a farewell, getting personal and a certain level of consciousness. I don't expect any songs to be like anything on the Black Album. It'll have a different tone from previous albums.

nikkas don't get it.
Wayne said that C5 is going to be his last album. Like Hov said Black Album was going to be his final album.
Cept Wayne might hold on to that promise this nikka been in the game since he was a fukking kid a nikka might want vacations and shyt. Hence if he leaves us with C5 which sounds promising as hell right now. it might have the same or even bigger impact the black album had when it dropped.

i dont even fukk with Wayne like that but a flash in the pan/top 100???? Weezy way more influential than that bruh even if you dont fukk with him musically

:comeon:

I like Wayne, but a lot of people do consider him that. He might be influential but so was crack cocaine, and white supremacy, doesn't mean it's a good influence. I listen to some Wayne occasionally, he's good, he's got talent, there's a lot of MC's around though, so I would place him somewhere in the top 100. I don't think many would consider him a top 20 for instance? There's just a lot of people I think are better, the fact he's on a top 100 list at all shows I think he's good at least. A lot of people don't make the list at all.

Wayne is undeniably top 20 to ever do it. im no stan. this should be fact at this point. people can never look outside their box of what they think is dope or cool and realize real life is happening and history is forming whether they acknowledge it or not. Delusional hatred runs your average rap fans mind these days....lol....:birdman:
