Bellichek isn’t the goat. He comes from the Parcells tree.

Bellichek, Coughlin, Payton - all SB winning coaches from his tree. Parcells two rings with two different QB’s with the Giants and the work he did with the Pats, Jets and Cowboys puts him at the top in my opinion. Outside of Brady, most of the guys Bellichek won those first 3 titles with were all guys Parcells brought in. Bellichek is a great coach but Brady was the primary reason for those SB.

Only Coach I’d maybe rank over Parcells would be Walsh.
And I'd put Reid up there over Bellichek today too. Look at Reid's records at Phlly and at KC.

Mike still one of the best in the league.

True, but he should still get fired if they don’t win a playoff game. It’s like Reid in Philly, eventually you get tired of constantly being a first round exit.

If Steelers are one&done/miss the offs, fire him, then have a legit rebuild.

Because it’s no a real hot seat if it’s not your employer putting you in it. Only time he should have even come close to that hot seat by management is during the Killer B years but even with that and using hindsight he somehow got the most out of AB an Bell crazy ass and you have to say that makes a statement also :yeshrug:

For sure. Ain’t his fault that the payroll of Pittsburgh’s offense is at the bottom of the league. He is actually a huge revenue factor due to winning records and playoff appearances over the years, while the whole time the organization has been stingy paying offensive players but still getting huge media rights deal because they always compete

Steelers gotta decide who they want to be. Because being a team that constantly implodes into an 8-9 win season is not it. Not winning a playoff game in nearly a decade is not it.

They need to rebuild. It's borderline impossible to stumble across a franchise QB while constantly drafting in the late teens to early 20s.

That’s the issue and will continue to be an issue unless the get lucky again like they did with Ben. Tomlin is always going to be competitive with average players, they literally have to say “yeah we ain’t doing shyt in the off season” and just tank or he’s going to get 9 wins and have them close to playoff contention. I swore they were going to lose to the Ravens by a significant amount and here we go again…these muthafukas may win the damn division :snoop:
