Not exactly the marquee NBA market, but Phoenix is in a great spot to land both if both want to play with each other and possibly contend in the future. They just missed the playoffs with 48 wins in the west with a rookie coach and Bledsoe out for half of the season.

Phoenix currently has the most cap space in the NBA: 37.5 million http://www.spotrac.com/cap-tracker/nba/ with 10 or 12 players already under contract http://www.spotrac.com/nba/phoenix-suns/yearly/

This not including the three 1st round draft picks they have coming up (picks number 14, 18 & 27). Before even hitting free agency, their roster could possibly consist of - Bledsoe, Dragic, Gerald Green, Alex Len, Morris twins, PJ Tucker and then a combination of draft picks in Tyler Ennis, Shabazz Napier, Kyle Anderson, Adreian Payne, Dario Saric, James Young, PJ Hairston. Compared to most teams, that's a solid young core going forward.

Only cons/drawback to this would be having to go through Clippers, San Antonio, OKC often in the regular season and then postseason as well as GS, Houston and Portland to some extent.

Not likely to happen at all, but just interesting to think that PHX lowkey presents a great opportunity for them :yeshrug:

People always talk about Lebron not going west cause of the competition, but some of his prospect teams he could sign for have the potential to be loaded (Rockets, Clippers) and they would automatically be within the top 3 teams out west. Im not saying he would go to the west or leave Miami because there is a proven track record there, but miss me with this talk about how it would be harder. Like if he goes west, his main obstacles really would be OKC and the Spurs and if you're Houston and you add Lebron you kinda like you're chances and match up against both.

Hell even when he went to Miami and add 2 All-Stars and a nothing much else that first year he still had the loaded front of a good Boston, Chicago and (at the start of the season anyway) good Orlando team. So I think hes aware he'll have competition whever he goes.

Doesn't matter how loaded your squad is out West if you don't bring it every playoff series or match up badly with a certain team you could be going home early. Spurs and Mavs both lost as a 1st seed title contender. If Bron goes to Houston, Phoenix or the Clippers that doesn't automatically make them the best team out West cuz the Spurs and Thunder will still give them a run for their money.

So the Houston Rockets who matched up pretty well with the Spurs this season and some said probably would have given them matchup problems and a tougher series wouldnt go over the top with Lebron?

Not going to address the LeBron-Melo team-up because of my next point. The problem with PHX is that they're going to have a make a decision on whether to pay damn near all of those guys in the next two years. I know ppl shyt on the Morris twins, but they were integral pieces on that roster this past year. Also, we know Robert Sarver is going to do everything he can to save some money.
