Shortchanging what? You are taking two major AAA titles and using that as a reflection of the whole gaming industry. Hate to break it to you, but a lot of people these days don't care about playing by themselves in some corridor, linear single player shooter. Majority of ppl just want to hop online and play casually against or with others. And thats who these games are for. So deal with it. Others have listed FPS with single player and there popular franchise like UC, Batman, TLOU, etc all have great campaigns. So why do you keep going on and on like the industry is drastically not over single player experiences?
