I saw the chart. It showed the absolute number of cases whether vaccinated or unvaccinated (there was no distinction made). There are tons of unvaccinated people who have not caught COVID.

When people talk about death rates with regards to COVID they're talking about case fatality rates. Going further, if you compare similar case peaks before and after the vaccine was available you'll notice that the presence of immunized people has lowered the case fatality rates.

No, deaths in most countries peaked in January or February 2021, which was after people started getting vaccinated.
Going by your logic the countries with the highest vaccination rates should have the least deaths. Compare the chart of Portugal for example to some countries in Africa which have the lowest vaccination rates in the world
