Heat and Knicks are the best teams in the East, Celtics are on the second tier with the Nets.

Knicks are overated. The backcourt cant defend. If they dont control the tempo of thew game, they're completion at a disadvantage. They shot a lot of threes but lack the offensive rebounding to compliment that style of play. They match up well against a team like Boston who doesnt want to push the tempo and fall right into the Knicks strategy.
Which is why i dont understand the whole Stat to the bench bs. He add rebounding and better spacing, especially when Melo isnt on the floor. That was the thing i noticed most with the Knicks. THey had no spacing when they played us. And that lack of spacing left them in bad position on transition D.
If the three isnt fallin, they're beaten.
Kidd's offense has been better than his defense this year. Thats horrible.
I'd wait til i see Stat in the starting lineup before i make any declaration.
And yet, they're still better than the C's, the two best teams in the East right now are playing shytty defense, but unlike the Celtics neither has that much trouble scoring. The Celtics have trouble putting the ball in the hole, I'd rather have a team that can score at will and ratchet up the defensive pressure over a team that struggles to score. Amare off the bench makes sense because he and Melo operate from similar spots on the floor, unless he's extended his range out to the 3 point line he actually hurts spacing for Melo. Once Melo goes to the bench and Amare comes in they can go to a strictly pick/roll attack and let Amare be the feature.
Also of note is that the C's defense hasn't been great this year either.
Celtics offense has been trash for years. It doesn't matter how great the defense is they can't score in the PS to match these other teams. They go through so many droughts in the playoffs were it seems they can't buy a basket

They're better than C's in December. Lets see what it looks like April.Amare a better rebounder and adds size next to Chandler, which haunt the Knicks defense. Rockets were getting in the paint at will. Just like NJ did against the Knicks. If you cant protect the paint in thhis league, youre not going far and the Celtics will protect the paint a lot better than the Knicks will.

I was shocked they played as well as they did in the playoffs last year.plus not to hate but if Rose was healthy they probably lose in 5 or 6 in the second round to them and maybe rebuild more then thye have because of how far they end up going they might have had a false sense of how close they really are to a title..

The Celtics protected the paint better than the Heat these last two seasons, didn't stop them from being bounced because of their inability to score. I think the Knicks will have a easier time defending the Cs than vice versa, you have to balance offense and defense.
And, Amare coming off the bench or starting is a weapon and luxury the Celtics just don't have.

Who the fukk thought the Celtics were contenders after Lebron went to Miami?
Like I been saying, the Celtics trying to make Rondo a franchise player is like the Baltimore Ravens trying to prove to the world that Joe Flacco is a franchise player. 
Rondo is a great PG, but as the "guy" and the "centerpiece" of a franchise ain't gonna work. With KG slowing down and with limited minutes, and Paul Pierce practically 
the team ain't going far with how much the East has improved. Watching the Celtics without KG on offense and especially on defense is just 
On paper, the team looks good, especially on 2k, but watching them this season has been 
at times.

Ray Allen wasn't shyt on defense, we are missing his offense though, because Terry and Lee aren't producing but the season doesnt end today
