Finale wasted a lot of time on pointless storylines as usual. Please don’t tell me they’re dragging this Douda storyline into another season.

Sadly the relationship between the boys was the highlight of this show but they ruined that.

Oh and lol @ Kevin getting cheeks. Where the fukk was Jemma’s dad?

I think this is it for me, fam lol. If I do come back for next season, I'll be binging it. Underwhelming and disappointing.

This show is done. Wasted a whole season and I can all but guarantee this was the series finale.

  • :mjtf:So you telling me all 3 women were okay with Keisha keeping the baby from her abductor? Did they ever show her in actual counseling? Is she even mentally stable enough to raise a child?

  • :mindblown:The whole folder from the safe plot was rendered pointless and Kandi still tried to help Douda keep Jake.

  • :stopitslime:Lena basically only came on the show to give two dry and heavy-handed monologues after losing. Yet she was crooked herself handing out bribe money.

  • :gucci:Where the heck are Jemma's parents at? Kev chillin in bed and making regular visits like he didn't just get caught by her dad and like she ain't been on punishment.

  • :why:Why did Kev and Jemma never use a condom? Her character is the type to bring that up as a requirement.

  • :hhh:So Emmett and Tiff gonna just have sex in the living room with his mom (and probably their son) there?

  • :dwillhuh:How can Douda make his head of security the new police chief? And wouldn't Trig be able to blackmale him? And wouldn't that be foolish with everybody already knowing that Douda is 63 Mob? If Poppa's dad snitched, wouldn't that make headlines right before elections?

  • :beli:I promise I was waiting for Jake to say he felt like he was somebody else too and wanted to be trans. It's on par for the writing.

:childplease:They tried to do a season finale Wire-style montage to basically wrap the season up on a high note but all of their situations are anything but good.

:pacspit:This was one of the worst seasons for a Black show ever. It was basically just characters loosely based on the those from the previous season.

It was basically standalone and it sucked. Lena just wanted to be as gay as possible (her words not mine) for absolutely no reason. Writing made this

That scene with Kandi and Lena was more like a battle of "Who can act the shyttiest?"

And leave it to the writers of The Chi to come up with the recycled, "Stripper who pretends to be a cop shows up at your bachelorette party" :heh:

"Ma'am, I'm here to report a disturbance."

Future bride: "Huh?"

"Now turn around, and up against the wall."

*Music starts playing out of nowhere...."officer" starts shaking & grinding*
