First season was dope but I haven't started 2nd. I heard its better but I'm not in the mood for crime thrillers.I never seen an episode of Riverdale....

I don't watch the show, and I never read an Archie book. My guess would be that having a share universe is the cool thing to do. It sounds like you watch the show, so your guess is as good as mine.

It's based off the "Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina" which I believe are a series of comics in the Archie universe set in the 60s
