Yup. I mentioned it here before. When Naughty By Nature filmed the "Hip Hop Hooray" video. The Source magazine staff had an advance copy of The Chronic, when they played "Deez Nuts" the crowd just huddled around and were mesmerized especially during Nate Dogg's part. It was something so new and fresh they were just stunned. Got this story from a Source article back in the day.

Sonically and production-wise, 2001 is the Magnum Opus..... but these things are subjective. I was still a kid when this dropped, but 2001 I was a full blown teeange knucklehead. In contrast the ones saying this is the best are probably just a few years older than me.

With regards to impact, I cannot argue that. This created that "Westcoast" sound we now attribute to the west.

both dope songs but I think at least the second joint doesn't really fit the sound of the album as it was released, the first one def could have made the cut but what would you take off to replace it?
