In a strange way, CJ Stroud's career in Houston is unfolding the way Deshaun Watson's did -- both started off really well, but over time, due to injury or whatever, they've become less effective.
I want to give Stroud the benefit of the doubt, because they haven't really had a running game for at least 2 years now, and his biggest WR threats have been hurt (Nico Collins, and 2 brutal injuries that might have robbed Tank Dell of his career).
I have the impression that CJ Stroud is being forced into more of a game manager role where he's just trying to not press the issue....versus earlier in his career where he could let things fly.
