You brothas who ride with these evil ass cacs when they’re trying to oppress your people are something else man

No one is riding for CACs. If you listen to the pod, I was the most outraged over the shyt...but upon further reading, it wasn't the terrible Jim Crow shyt being portrayed by social media.

Why are you acting as if any this is in good faith and not an attempt to stop POC’s from voting which is exactly what it is and what scholars who have looked at this says will be the he out just like every other time the GOP has created new voter laws. Come on man Jesus

There are ways to have new voter laws that are in good faith and in conjunction with other actions that still ensure anyone who can vote has the ability to. These laws dont do that

I thought that's what it was too, and probably that was the original intent, but in reality, the law ain't bad.

It, just like other legislation, got watered-down to be ineffective.

Correct, my question is why should anyone think a political party that has spent 30 years trying to stop people from voting has suddenly decided to do the opposite. To even suggest thing is pure lunacy

O so you think the GOP would put out a voter suppression law that would be ineffective? Play that game if you want.

“It’s just like any other legislation” is very dangerous framing of a law designed to keep POC’s from voting. Also why should I listen to your podcast? I’m genuinely asking?

@OfTheCross isnt arguing that. No one is going to pretend republicans are on the side of voting and voter access. I think he is saying that the laws wont move the needle either way as opposed to how they are being described. I neither agree or disagree with that in a vacuum but I do think it's reasonable to assume it is more likely that further legislation will be tacked onto this to restrict voting rather than actions to balance things out. The water distribution thing is an example of it being in bad faith

I dont disagree with these laws being targeted at poc, but thats faulty logic... Why would we believe a government that has spent its entire existence keeping blacks bottom caste would or has decided to do the opposite?
We should oppose big govt. and reject every effort it makes:blessed:

You posted Right wing Koch backed propaganda. That’s a shyt a number of uneducated a$$holes on this board like Cac Mamba do. Saying I’m “uneducated” when you post some shyt like that is hilarious.

It’s pretty obvious the bill was created in bad faith to suppress the vote. I don’t care what’s in it when we know the goal. At a certain point it’s like why waste time reading bill if you know the outcome of it is reprehensibly evil. Nothing I’ve said has been uneducated.

Do you dispute that this bills goal is anything other than to keep black ppl from voting, if not then clearly you agree with my stance so I guess we’re both uneducated.

The question about listening to ur podcast was actually in good faith, that’s all I listen to while I work especially political stuff

Because the outcome wasn't reprehensibly evil. You won't even bother to read about what's actually become law.

I agree with you that their intent was bad, but the outcome wasn't anything to be outraged about.

If you like political conversations then listen to the pod. It's usually a good convo
