i played with it and made some joke songs. i was proud of my 'got to say no to the JBO' song, but ultimately this shyt will be used by greedy lazy people

you gotta think about it.. how does it know how to generate this kind of stuff? because it was fed an enormous database of music. ill bet they exploited something like musicbrainz, which tags music very specifically. after that it was just a matter of feeding it mp3s/youtube links and waiting. its fukked up and those artists need to get paid

using it as a joke is one thing but i see people actually talk about enjoying this shyt and its crazy. theres enough unappreciated music being made by real humans right now. it could be used responsibly. like if i told it "generate 8 bars of a drum pattern in 4/4 140bpm" and it shyt out the midi that would be cool. but were talking about exploiting pretty much every song ever made... and for what? isnt there enough money going around??

i wouldnt use it for anything beyond joke stuff. people viewing it as legit art is what gets to me. its a digital parlor trick.

but the sad fact is, this shyt aint going ANYWHERE. we are still at the point where we can tell whats been generated or not.

all i can say is.. i hope our human ears evolve. i think maybe they will. it will be like food, like appreciating the difference between a whopper and a bacon kobe burger or something.
