There are different types of daps though:

• Obligatory dap when somebody replies to you
• Pity daps
• Bandwagon daps
• Good post daps
• Dap/undap disrespect
• Daps to lessen the severity of a heated argument

Agree with the last one. I use a dap to end a discussion sometimes when I don't agree with what the person is talking about and I just give a passive aggressive dap on some ok here's a dap, I'm done discussing this.
