I would go with #2 as the tumbled/ pebbled leather can be worn with jeans, smart casually, business casually and for business (i.e. a nice wool pant, turtleneck and sportcoat).

Small thing I like: The large/ taller tang at the back of the boot too. Let a pant hem catch on it and then you have a brief view of the entire boot (in action) as you walk.

This is exactly what I planned on doing. A very versatile boot for all occasions.

I prefer the color of #3 but I feel the leather is too formal to wear with jeans and also the lining may be too warm for Fall.

The color and look of #2 is good as well, but the 'last' (the mold of the shoe that gives the shoe its shape) is a little wider than I would have liked. #3 has the slim last that I like but the limits I mentioned above.

#1 is good too but that two tone leather just isn't it for me

Meermin is a really good value shoe maker but their styling and options can be very inconsistent. Example: They'll have some Blucher/Derby shoes in black and burgundy but no brown or dark brown

I'm like . I would think you have the basic colors for all of your basic shoes.

If I could get the last and color of #3 with the pebble leather of #2 I'd be gucci.

I feel terrible that I didn't try on boots when I visited their store in NYC . Their shoes ship from Mallorca, Spain and cost $35 to ship with DHL . I would hate to buy the shoes in a size that doesn't fit.

I think I'll go with #2 though. Like you said, much more versatile and the color is a different shade of brown that the dress shoes I just got from them (which by the way just shipped ).

These above (#4) are pretty good but the color is the same as these loafers (below) I'll be getting from them as well.

I tried on the loafers at their store in Soho a few weeks back and man . It was like they were made for my feet. The unlined leather is so form fitting and comfortable. I should have just bought them at the spot because now my size in out of stock online and I'll probably have to wait weeks or even months before their restocked. .

At least by then I should have gotten the two dress shoes and the boots

Just browsed through it briefly. I think there are some good points in there but I do think there's a lack of pictures in the article. Some brehs are fashionable and some brehs are just starting out (kinda like me). One thing about fashion is that it can be very overwhelming with all the new fits coming out and such. Men, at least here in the US, aren't as fashion oriented as women so I think it would have been good to really, really flesh out the basics sections. Talk about some of the colors to incorporate and the different fabrics and how to pair them in the season.

I've personally made it a note to pep up my wardrobe all around and I've actually decided to start from the ground up (investing first in some good shoes, both for work and casually) then moving on up.

I do think this is headed in the right direction. Just need some more time.

EDIT: I get that you're angling to the more 'urban' type look but I think a range and breadth of styles is good to get viewers in mass. Have some more conservative but stylish wears for say the more "corporate" brehs and then the more adventurous fits for the younger dudes. Not everyone can be out here dressing like a GQ model, some of us don't have the build first and foremost, and then some don't have the personality as well.

These bad boys came in yesterday

They look even better in person. The leather is quite stiff and they're still squeaking a bit as I break them in.

I'm so glad I stepped up my work shoe game. I just feel a different person when I put these on. I'm also glad I got out of that American mindset of being too casual/comfortable at work.

The black wholecuts are really subtle but the color is very rich. The cognac brown is also a beauty.

I'm a very firm believer in the notion that your shoes finish off your outfit. You can have a good suit but if the shoes are dusty/not up to the occasion then it's for nothing.

Just copped these two above from Meermin for work. Good price and solidly constructed. Also got my eyes on these boots below for when Fall comes around. Not sure if the lining may be too warm though. Really looking to pep up my dressier shoe game this Fall and beyond.

Their stuff is really good quality and well priced. Arguably the best bang for your buck within their price range. I'm wearing the black ones right now at work and they look great. Leather is a bit stiff and it'll take some time to break in.

Styling is also more European (slimmer, a little edgier) than Allen Edmonds.

It gives some extra pop to your feet.

I wasn’t expecting so many dope stores in such a small, remote area. It was a bit overwhelming to be honest...I wanted to buy everything.

Big John was my favorite store overall. It was setup like a factory. It looks like they do some of the dyeing and finishing in store. They were apparently the first in town in 1960. They have that old school Americana vibe...real workwear, overalls, pin stripe patterns, lots of accessories, bags, all made of denim. I got a tote bag, a belt loop small bag, and white tees there.

Sakura Blue was a more modern style brand. Washed denim...reminded of a California vibe. They also had the denim kimonos. I ended up getting one because where else are you gonna get a denim kimono?

I got a pair of Momotoro’s. The blue/white stripe pocket is exclusive to the store. I almost got a custom pocket but it was a month wait and wouldn’t be tax free. They altered my jeans on the spot for free and gave me a small denim wallet as a gift.

This is really good. But when you give suggestions, you need to put more options, not everyone is going to like that one single suggestion you provided. People like options, so I suggest at least 5 options, different price ranges and links to them for each item you suggest. You need more links, like when you provide a photo you need to have links to clothes similar to the ones in the photo. Like that guy wearing that green jacket, I would have clicked on the link if you had provided it. In the end, it benefits you and the viewer of the website. I believe you get some sort of compensation when the person buys or clicks your link.

Fellas, I have these new-ish dress shoes I got a few weeks back. They're minimalist and very stylish. However, I noticed that they've been "squeaking" as I walk. I figured that they're new and that after about 5-6 wears they squeaks will stop. It's been about 8 wears and the squeaking is still there.

Any tips on how to remedy that?
