Grabbed this G star Varsity Bomber on sale. Reg. 490$, was on sale for like $200, I was able to get an extra 20% off by signing up to their newsletter. End up paying 160$. Top notch leather and wool. I love it. Took about 2 week to get it tho.

So I'll browse Dappered now and then just to check in on sales. And around Black Friday/Cyber Monday is one of the better times of the year to check them.
(They normally have a Monday sales post, and a Thursday sales post)

I'm sure everyone here is well aware of this.

But I really wish there was a website or forum that highlights sales for higher quality items.
NOT necessarily luxury items. I don't give a shyt if Mr Porter has some Loro Piana sweater marked down to $3,000 from $5,600. I'm never affording that shyt.

Just stuff that's elevated from Banana Republic and J Crew...which is mostly the level that Dappered caters to.

Granted, maybe Mr Porter IS that website. But it can be hard to navigate sometimes.

Fux with Dappered for prolly as long as I've been a member here. They can be dangerous if you don’t get those pockets steady.:wow:

My order from House of Blanks arrived.

Just a hoodie and a heavyweight long sleeve T shirt.

Very happy with the long sleeve T shirt. It’s thick. Quality cotton and fairly soft. Not the softest shirt ever but good upon first impression. It’s something I’ll just wear on its own. It’s probably too thick to be a layering piece. But I can maybe rock this with a shirt jacket/overshirt. Was nervous about the fit since I’m 6’4 but it hits my proportions perfectly.

The hoodie is a bit more of a snug fit. It’s a quality piece but i am a bit nervous that it might shrink in a wash. Probably gonna air dry this one. I can’t risk a machine dryer. I really just wanted a crew neck sweatshirt but at the time they were sold out so I got the hoodie.

Overall as far as basics go, I’m kind of a fan.
I’ll try them again.

Shipping took about a week. Not great but not terrible.

House of Blanks has a Black Friday sale now.

I’m tempted to also check out Bronson’s Black Friday sale but I’m way more nervous about their “Japanese sizing” not working with me.

Maybe I should cop for the movement...

LOL

dude I'm looking for a jacket. Any ideas? It's stressful because I'm 6'4 and I get concerned that most sites cater to smaller, thin guys.
I have an athletic/muscular build at 240 and I don't feel like a peacoat is gonna sit right.

What I'm thinking is, I'll just cop a cheap Parka from Eddie Bauer for the coldest of days.
But I need something for these fall and early winter months where it's not so brutal.

I have a cheap ass old overcoat I got at Macys like 10 years ago. It's still wearable...but I thought....I could just replace this with a newer, better overcoat.
Or I could get a nice quilted jacket somewhere, and keep the old overcoat a few more months.

Need to get more Euro designers into my wardrobe. Quality tends to be much better, especially for shirts.

US brands have such thin shirts
Absolutely. I gotta start bookmarking these european websites.

So far the only ones I've gotten things from was a sweater from Bosie, and some overshirts from Asket.

Asket doesn't do sales and they only offer basics, but they are solid quality. You just gotta make sure the sizing is right. They have a lot of options (short, tall...) I did get a coat from Asket last year but I had to return it.

The main thing that annoys me about Bosie is...I can't seem to filter by size on the website. Or if you can, I haven't figured out how to do it. So I have to click on every sweater I like to check if they have it in XXL. Being tall sucks.

I feel like I've seen some quality stuff from Sweden. But they aren't cheap.

I want an Irish fisherman sweater so bad.
But the shipping costs are like $30.

Even the cheaper sweaters I found on Aran Sweater Market and Blarney Woollen Mills.

It’s really hard for me to eat that cost…on principle.

Spier & Mackay still have their 25% off sale going.
Taylor Stitch has 20% off
Bonobos is running 30% off
Banana Republic 40% off full priced items
J Crew has 50% off -- but I really think a lot of their sizes are sold out.
Lands End has 50% off
House of Blanks has up to 60% off
Bosie.co has sales but it varies on the knitwear
Huckberry has up to 40% off but I think they cycle through it so some items that were on sale last week aren't anymore.
Carbon2Cobalt as 15% off
Blarney Woollen Mills has 20% off
Aran Sweater Market has up to 50% off
Mr Porter has to up 50% off
Todd Snyder has 30% off sitewide, and 50% off sale items.
Nike has up to 50% off
Adidas has up to 60% off
Greats sneakers has up to 30% off
Puma has up to 50% off
Ralph Lauren has up to 30% off -- but none of the RRL or Purple Label seem to be part of it.
Billy Reid has 20% off $500, 30% off $900, and 40% off $1,300.
Brooks Brothers up to 30% off
Koio has 20-70% off

A bit surprised that SuitSupply doesn't have any sale right now.
