Nah, I think it’s more multi-pronged.

1) The main event is going to be OVERBOOKED!
2) A lot of injuries and celebrities created the need for shorter matches. Seth wasn’t going to go more than 20 minutes. IShowSpeed was blown up after an 8 minute match. Who wants to see AJ Lee for more than 10 minutes.
3) The matches are just a vehicle for everything else at this point. Going viral. The post-event show. The entrances.
