The celebrity involvement was minimal and not a distraction at all. The internet doesn’t think for themselves they just parrot what other people say
Short matches ok but I’d rather have that then them 5 hour mania from the Vince era.
These people have to understand what to expect from WWE. It’s about the fukkery not no long technical wresting matches. It’s about celebrities and big moments.
And lastly what was wrong with the main event other than Randy not winning? I swear yall just be looking for an angle to complain and paint a narrative of WWE being the big evil corporation.

90 minutes of actual wrestling is lazy and the ads for $30 is just wrong. Peacock had ads unless you paid for premium ok that people can deal with but ESPN(Disney) is going to fleece you given you basic service for a premium price.
Expecting a lot more commercials tonight ..since after the first hour there are only 4 matches lol

What you see, is what you get
This ^^^ post sums up WrestleMania night 1. The only matches that salvaged night 1 are Jacob/Drew & Seth/Gunther. HHH and the creative squad really fumbled on this completely. A lot of these matches had weeks if not MONTHS of build-up going into WrestleMania and I know there was a few key injuries (Bianca, Bron Breakker, Seth Rollins) that changed the shaping of the WrestleMania card but there is excuse to have shytty & short ass matches on a WrestleMania card. The crap with Orton vs Rhodes from the build-up and some of the booking in that match was trash. McAfee/Jellyroll should have never been involved it from the start.
After night 2, I'm done with anything WWE until SummerSlam at least because MITB isn't until September this year and I'm not checking for a bunch of B-rated PPV's. This product has went down the drain since they moved the PPVs to ESPN last fall. Bad creative and TKO's greed is destroying the WWE product. WrestleMania needs to be pushed back to late March - early April because the build-up to WM has been trash out the last 4 out of 5 years.

Naw, white meat babyfaces don't behave that way despite the circumstances, see Zayn or Rey for a modern example. If it were an Austin or KO face, absolutely but Cody insists on being a pristine white meat face so he doesn't get that latitude.
And I say this as someone who generally enjoys the product. That main event was just weird unless there was a shoot injury involved, it felt unfinished and rough.
It was a lazy match. Blood for what? Match wasn't intense enough. It looked like Cody would dominate enough to justify maybe blood but then they flipped it again at the end of the match. Very strange.
