It seems like dame is trying to downplay how much of an a$$hole he was. I also don't buy that he didn't want to stay in the music business, if Jay would of wanted to continue working with him dame would of stayed. Jay just realized he didn't need dame anymore.
As for just blaze he should of never addressed that stuff on the podcast, he came off like the kid who got bullied at school and its bothered him his whole life. I'm sure dame did shyt on him at times but a lot of people would of killed to be in the in-house producer for one of the biggest labels in music and to this day he is still benefiting from that opportunity

Yep this pretty much sums it up
Looking at it from Jay's perspective and in the context of what Jay wanted to accomplish, Dame was a huge liability. The SP nikkas getting in trouble with the law over and over again was a liability. I think the Dipset shyt was just personal, but still, Dame engineered that. Jay put his blood + sweat into SP and none of those nikkas really popped off to real stardom. Bleek
Rocafella was just a bunch of mouths to feed. So I can understand why Jay walked away.I think Dame came up with all his reasons for "leaving" years later. When the shyt folded Rocafella was on a downslide but it was still popping. It was and still is easily the best thing Dame has ever done and I bet the money from everything he's done reflects that. He had the little Armadale thing going and Rocawear was Burlington Coat Factory status, but he didn't have anything like Diddy's Making The Band or Jay's various ad deals.
Hes an old Harlem head. A lot of talk and bravado but many times not the accomplishments to back it up. Cam did a lot of the same shyt ("i got a team of scientists workin on a new color"
). Humility is just not part of the game for a nikka like Dame.

Ive actually paid attention to the personalities of people that were either owners, or in high up mgmt positions for awhile.
From what ive seen, most, if not all have no issue w/ being aggressive w/ people. People who have only been workers their whole life dont know what its like directing folks and getting shyt done.
It seems a lot of these cats in hip hop are just fukking sensitive...you add that w/ being lazy and that makes workaholic types CRAZY!!!
I bet Dame was an a$$hole, but the simple fact that a grown ass man could be so heated over being made fun of for a fake jersey all these years later shows you what type of fukkery people like Dame have to put up w/ in the business.
