they tried to secede from the union. they tried to leave the united states of america. the confederate flag represents a group that waged war, and attacked the united states on our own soil...therefore its inherently anti-american. shyt they're worse than osama bin laden if you really think about it.

That's a good point

Many people are ignorant about our past. Hell many of those confederates don't really know all the history behind it, but want to use it as a symbol for the southern culture. I had a debate with a couple of people about Kentucky's role during that time period and they were shocked that not only was Kentucky NOT a part of the confederacy, but they actually asked the Union to drive their forces out of the state. It was one of the most important states as to WHY the confederates lost...and they don't even know it

It might be because of my minor in history, but even besides that if I decide I am going to rock something I might as well know the history of it before looking like a moron when people talk to you about it

When i first moved to Texas this family had a confederate flag inside their house. You can see it if they open their door. Their kids werent racist but it was the uncle and old ass grandad who had the flag. One day i went over there me and the homie, ripped the flag off the wall then burnt it behind the church behind their house that night with my mexican homie
