I just realised when they said at the end of the movie that a priest wants them to investigate a case in Long Island, that's in reference to Amityville. 
BTW, this case happened a few miles from where I live and probably would have made for a scarier flick:

I'm sorry, no offense to anyone...but ya gotta be some real pussies to find this shyt scary. 
Yeah, there were a lot of loud noises that startle you, but that's about the extent of the "scariness" of this movie. It was about an hour too long....the story was oooookay, no originality. Just another example of another overhyped movie. Anyone reading this: unless you are a kid under 14, do not believe the hype. This movie is not the least bit frightening....and to go a step further, a mediocre movie. Save ya money and download it, or wait til it's available to rent. I'm mad I wasted money on this wack shyt.
The only thing that was even remotely creepy was that Annabelle doll. But dolls just creep me out anyway ever since Chucky
Saw this along with Pacific Rim for 7$ total. Good movie.
The Warrens are a couple of crocks, though.

In the end of the movie when Lorraine gets off the phone and talks to her husband, she says that the priest wants to discuss a case in Long Island. That case is the Amityville case.
It was obviously a nod to Amityville, regardless.

Does this film have a happy ending. Im getting a bit fed up with films that have the demons winning in the end or making them seem invincible.

This film certainly restored my faith especially from the forced fed paranormal activity etc.

I'm good on watching that thoI guess you dont even have to be part of the church to do an exorcism. All you gotta do is just know a few fancy words and you can put your hands on a bytch and cast demons out of her. shyt was lame as fukk.
