Nintendo had the best 2025 with a historically successful platform launch along with Mario Kart and GotY nominee DK but they are not competing in the AAA game space the same way Sony and Microsoft have. They are either the casuals primary console or a secondary console/handheld for hardcore gamers who already have PC/PS/Xbox. Still, they are a juggernaut in the industry and have been around the longest so you can make a legit argument that they run a video game company better than anybody else despite not going the big budget route with their hardware/software .
That said, modern console wars has always been PlayStation vs Xbox for the last 20 years and only now when Microsoft’s corporate fukkery has totally destroyed the brand do yall wanna switch goalposts and "move on". We all know that PS5s are going to be flying off store shelves when the biggest game launch ever happens later this year while Xbox's literally may not even be in the stores to begin with so yall can stop acting like this is some sort of nuanced discussion and not a copium thread

So the Switch 2 has been a success? I haven't been paying attention to the sales stuff, I thought I read the initial sales were good but it tapered off a bit.
Same shyt every gen yet thrid party keeps selling more on PS and PC.

The so called "Childs Toy" is one of the greatest thing in interactive entertainment. Portable as well. Even Sony borrowed motion controls and a fake portable screen, copying Nintendo.
