There aren't any console wars.

If you want proof go back and look at when Microsoft said a lot of their games in the early years of the Series X were gonna be cross generation. People trashed them for it. Sony comes out and says effectively the same thing and it's a smart business move now.

Go back and look at the original PS4 and Xbox One and how Xbox fans downplayed the One being the weaker system then when the One X comes out and is graphically more powerful suddenly that's important and PlayStation fans downplay graphics.

It's all a bunch of people using political style talking point style arguments they don't even believe in because they think the arguments back a company's position. When reality plays out differently they don't even back their original positions they just shift to other talking points.

When I was a kid we weren't rich and we made decisions on what console to get. Friends argued about what was better based on what they actually believed in.

What I described in the previous post isn't even a real conversation. It's people saying stuff they don't even actually believe to other people saying stuff they don't actually believe. If you have a conversation and make a point and that point turns out to be wrong and you can't even admit that then there is no real merit to anything you're saying.

In reality Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo can all make profits in the video game space. In reality anybody can own all the consoles. This isn't a sports league where only one can be champion.

There’s really nothing to be gained from arguing about consoles and video games just like theres really nothing to be gained from arguing about apple vs android, marvel vs dc, tupac vs biggie, nike vs adidas etc.

It’s all just mindless forum babble. It’s not that different than sports talk, its just a way for people to bullshyt about their hobbies. Every enthusiast circle is gonna bicker about shyt that has very little effect on their lives.
