I think you're underestimating the damage this virus is doing/going to do to the economy, and/or the logistics in caring for the millions that will be infected.:patrice:
:hubie:I hope you're right though, and cutting the check will make surviving this pandemic a "minor issue".
If folk had basic income and we had adequate health care facilities to test and care for the initial victims, then we wouldn't be worrying about that sort of millions of spread at once. Quarantines and temporary shutdowns would be far more effective cause folk ain't gonna be avoiding hospitals or forcing themselves to go to work sick against everybody best interests.

All the stuff y'all are proposing are done in Congress though.

It's not like we're at a point where bills are making it to Trump's desk and getting vetoed.

Everything is dying in the senate. :mjlol:

Obviously M4A, I know, CRAZY!!! This country sucks, and the fact that some people in this country actively ROOT for the billionaires instead of wanting to make sure everybody is taken care of is pretty cool.
Other nations are showing us socialized medicine isn’t a silver bullet... in fact most are worse off than we are.
...and not being roped into class warfare isn’t caping for billionaires.
We have taxation, and shytty redistribution.
It’s a government problem, not a rich person problem.

Edit: M4A wouldn’t make it through congress anyway.:yeshrug:
