Getting into repairing my credit, and just checked my score 643 :mjgrin:

I tell you, that first credit card every newly 18 year old gets is bullshyt!! We all activate that bytch, knowin damn well we can't pay it off :yeshrug:
But we try to stunt wit that $500 limit anyways :win:
Then when we grow up, and try to buy our first car, or get our own place :sadcam:

im so movtivated to fix my credit!! spent the weekend visiting a really good friend of mine who just built a dope ass 5 bedroom house out in the suburbs of vegas. a few years ago, he hit some hard times, and his crib got foreclosed on, and he and his wife and 4 kids ended up in a small ass 2 bedroom apartment. he pretty much just grinded out the last 5 years or so building his credit back up, and it's paying off now

Would it hurt my credit if i pay off my car loan before its due? i owe 7000 on it , paying 300 car note a month . ill be able to pay it all off if it doesnt hurt my score too much.

Nearly all debts are erased from an individual's credit record after 7 years.

In some states it's only 4 or 5.

In case noone's posted it already.

Edit: should have checked the first page lol... Whatever I'll leave this up.

Got a nice CLI on one of my cards out the blue yesterday, jumped from 2500 to 7k..Fico hovering around 760, trying to get closer to that damn 8!..Just need my accounts established length to be just a little bit longer and we gucci..

Anybody seeing improvements?

Been eating good off cli myself. Got my Amex everyday card that just increased me to 8k. Started off at 2k and I'm still in the first year zero interest promotional period. Luckily my balance is low, like $150 so I'm ready for when the promo ends.

Sitting at 782 currently on one of the bureaus. Was at 787 but a mortgage preapproval dropped me. It's cool cuz most of my cards haven't reported yet for the month and my balance went down so I should recover. Not 100% sure I'll be at 800 by the time the year ends but I'll be real close.

@LeVraiPapi idk if you’re still active in this thread but here’s my question...


My credit recently went up due to me paying off my car & paying off my two capital one cards with a debt consolidation loan through my credit union which I’m also paying off to build towards my credit



So the credit karma app has my scores as the following

Transunion -667

Equifax - 670


The credit karma app is suggesting the American Express premier rewards card

It says I have “very good approval odds”

Now I already have a decent amount of credit checks because my dumb ass tried for discover card BEFORE my score went up due to paying stuff off...


So you think I should I apply for this Amex or wait
