how can I get a credit card with no credit? And whats a good credit card to get?

Go for the secured credit cards and you always want to go with A lenders like banks and credit unions. B lenders are like Capital One, but do not go for those store credit cards. There more trouble them helpful in the long run.

I have upped my score from 570 to 640 in the last year. My wife got a zales credit card for our rings and put me as an authorized user and it has helped my credit by paying on time and keeping the balance low.

I also got a secured credit card for $200 and have been using that and keeping it low. They increased my limit to 500 recently.

The negative shyt on my credit is that it's new. When u get a new cc, it drops your average age of credit.

Also, use creditkarma.com to monitor it. Quizzle.com is good too.

I agree with the secured card route if u have little to no credit or a "thin file". Go through ur own bank/CU. Most report to all 3 bureaus, & it may not even list it as " secured". Utilize the card, but NEVER EVER miss a payment. This cannot be stressed enough. Reports say keep utilization around 25-30% of ur limit. When I had a secured card, my percentage was above 50, & I was graduated to an unsecured card within 10 months. Each credit file is unique. Just pay back as much as u can, as soon as u can.

Also, go get a Credit Karma account. Site is filled with useful info, credit card reviews & they now offer free credit reports (thru Transunion). I was somewhere around 589 a few years ago. I'm at 719 now, & trying to eclipse that 800 plateau. Good luck.

Snowball payment method; pay the minimum on credit lines that have larger balances; pay off the smallest balance as quick as possible. Apply that additional money to the next smallest line of credit, and continue to pay the minimum on the larger lines. The lines that get paid off will report you as someone who is reliable thus increasing your score and the the lines that have minimum won't negatively report on you because you are paying on-time. Eventually everyone will report you as a reliable person.

Get one credit card with a relatively large balance, 2,500, 5,000 etc. Use this to make ALL of your purchases, ALL. Take cash to pay the balance off every month.

I will answer all questions and even add what credit monitoring site to use and how to dispute items on your credit. When it co.es to Collections STAY OFF THE PHONE AND NEVER ANSWER ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE. STAY OFF THE PHONE

CreditKarma only reports 1 bureau and as far as credit cards go I'd say go with a card that will graduate in 1 year. Close to graduation day you need to make sure your balance is low and you deposit the max amount of money since that will be your new Credit Limit upon graduation when the bank decides to lend you money.

I Wil give you a free analysis but first thing first you need to get a full report from all 3 bureaus and have them in paper since those are more accurate. It's free once a year. Go to annual credit report.com and get the form. Once you get it we getting down to business. I am still learning and a lady asked me about 300 dollars a month to repair my credit lol. Well all I ll ask is that you share your success story and not share any files I give you since they may be linked to me. If I m doing it we all can do it

If you owe money and your credit is in the dumper and its been years, don't pay a dime. Even if you pay one cent then the time it will come off your cc report resets.

Example phone bill in collections you owe 2,000. Its been 6 years, after 7 years it will come off your record.

You pay one cent even one cent then it restarts

Get a guaranteed Cc use it and start building up back your credit.
Thats true but if you're trying to get a house they can still see it

If you have a credit card only use 30% and pay it EXACTLY on the due date....sometimes paying it off early earns penalties and even if you pay in the grace period it still looks bad........also Transunion, Experian, and Equifax are for different parts of the country so if you pay something down you have to make sure they are reporting to all 3 bureaus cuz you can pay to one bureau and have it deleted but it can still be on a report from another bureau. Each one has different debts but they share a lot.
