I know better than this, but here we go:

This is the first time i've heard of "Rich Dad Rap" or "Dad Rap". I'm curious to know what other works fit this sub-genre according to the reviewer...

Or did Jiggermayne invent this???

I'll hang up and listen off air...

So when critics shyt on Ye for giving us the album on the year, y'all are like yea ima subscribe to pitchfork tomorrow. :dahell:

But when they shyt on ya hero Hov for another cd of uninspired rich people I got more money than you raps, y'all wanna go all Malcolm X and say CACs

:comeon:

The album is trash. Deal with it. It's not that it's wack. But for rapper with such an elite title, Jay has brought zero creativity or originality to this project. Like we heard enough Maybach raps. No one cares. Meanwhile Ye blazing new paths in this music shyt. Yeezus was the most exciting album I've heard since Kendrick Lamar dropped. It didn't sound like shyt on the radio or whatever trend hip hop was on. It was new and creative. Hov is washed up

But fukk them CACs though :smugbiden:

Dap/undap

I was with you until you said yeezus was a breath air and something new

:heh::heh::heh::heh:

nikka have you ever heard of 'industrial hip hop'?

And trends? Have you not heard of the noise rap trend of 2012/2013?. Go listen to death grips and B L A C K I E's catalogue and midcity - clippin' and then come back to me about kanye blazin 'new paths' :pachaha:

nikkas on here need to expand their hip hop horizons on here outside of hot97 and 106&park. Yeezus is about a breath of fresh air as a gas chamber

It's just a corny way to try to take shots at the album.

No one called Eminem's obsession with his daughter on every album as 'dad rap' Aside from a few references to his daughter and that one track about her, where are the dad raps? Did I miss the 'wash behind your ears' line and the birds and the bees verse somewhere?

It's not dad rap because he talks about his daughter. It's dad rap because he's a 43 year old man trying to impress the young cool kids with all of the drug dealer talk and shyt.

That "fukk hashtags and retweets. I got 140 characters in these streets" is such an dad rap line. Sit yo old ass down somewhere Jay. :heh:

No it isn't because hes been rapping about that stuff his entire career. That is his content. If it was out of nowhere, sure, but it isnt. Just say you don't like the album instead of trying to find dumb 'reasons' to justify you don't like it.

Dad rap is what he did on Kingdom Come. The whole 'pay your taxes, watch your credit score' angle is dad rap.

The whole group of lines were about the Internet vs Reality breh, did you miss the rest of the lines :snoop:

He's been sounding like the old man in the club since he came back from retirement, but no one minded it because he kept the quotables coming. The quotables ain't flowing like that on this album. THIS shyt LIGHT

I heard the whole verse. It still doesn't save that line. That line's just as bad as Ye's sweet and sour sauce line from I'm In It.
