Melo has been wanting that belt for over a year and got stuck in a Miz feud. Ilja has been injured for over a year and wins the same belt his first night back. How exactly are we wrong for pointing out the racist element of the booking?
Ilja winning a title on a Sami Zayn call doesn’t deserve some deep analysis. It’s not some big revelation of racism against Carmelo. Making it that is such a laughable insane stretch.

I get the sentiment, and to me Melo one of the most talented on that roster so I want the world for him
But I do think if every time someone wins something we’re gonna use it as a knock on Melo specifically, we’re setting homie up for failure and it’s weird but that’s me…
I feel like yall talk about these black wrestlers like props and not actual adult humans who make real cognizant decisions. It’s kinda dehumanizing to paint the picture that these people happily work somewhere they’re hated. I don’t think Melo, Naomi and the rest of the black people on the roster are that naive and stupid. Y’all speak on them like they’re brainless avatars happily being put in compromising position to please masa or something. The funny thing is I don’t even think ya’ll realize that’s what you’re doing.

Carmelo is simply being compared with others that were in NXT at the same time as he was. Most of us in TSC are sports fans and it’s very common to see young athletes compared with their peers in sports. Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson gonna be compared every day for a decade. Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith were compared the entire 90s.
Let’s say my baseball team ,the Tigers, have a couple of blue chip prospects with world class athleticism and can hit. If my Tigers had a roster full of players that’s at or past retirement age and ALSO either currently on a retirement tour, has one foot into their post career, squatting on the injured list taking up spots, or just plain former stars that peaked in 2016-18, and they don’t have the use for the blue chip prospects that can be stars but instead bring in a one note utility player you don’t think there would be questions? If Dragunov came out to a massive reaction Friday, we wouldn’t have said shyt and you know that. Goalposts were moved.

I haven't watched a full WWE show outside of NXT for the last 5 months, and that's because I see how black wrestlers are being booked. You keep acting like the WWE is our whole existence and it's not, I have a job, friends, and a backlog of video games to play. I'm simply pointing out that we continue to be right about Triple K.
