Yeah I think he's trying to pull new artists out of his home town. Salute to him. I'm glad he didn't let his accident discourage him and he's continuing to be involved in the music.

Lord knows Dallas needs it....

His debut album shyts on a lot of classic albums. I still listen to it. Jay-Z was giving him praise in his decoded book. (I know that doesn't mean much of anything, but Jay-z doesn't really give anybody praise like that)

No skippable material on that album.

yes, album was a classic without doubt and he first caught my ear on NWA and the Posse. I have been pumping Apollo Brown and O.C.'s record..."The Formula" a homage to the D.O.C.

Deuce was a good album. Although he didnt rap on it much he produced the bulk of it.

He was a major influence in East Coast and West Coast hip-hop.

The Formula is one of my favorite songs.

He's like the unofficial 6th member of N.W.A. He was part of the whole movement.

You can't talk about hiphop history and not mention The D.O.C.

One of the greatest rappers to come from the south. Hell one of the best rappers to have came out period. I really wish he didn't have the accident and was able to live up to his potential.

He was the closest to being a perfect rapper. Great song writing, producing, beats were on point. Really wasn't a bang bang, "shoot em up rapper himself, just confidence and charisma before it was renamed 'swag" Impeccable flow and delivery. If he had put out another album before the accident, he would be talked about being top 5 dead or alive.

Yup, The DOC's potential was INSANE from what I've heard. Dude easily could've become one of the more prominent MCs in the 90s. He absolutely killed the songs on No One Can Do It Better.

Life can be so fukked up...dude's rap career came to a halt with that accident. :wow:

jerry heller said doc could have had his voice back back in the day but he said doc didnt care he just wanted to smoke and drink

I was gonna say this, if he wasn't an alcoholic he could have got it sorted, hell Dre was willing to pay for his surgery recently but he never went through with it.

Deuce was dope, Six Two was a good vessel for DOC. The last album he really worked on was Blue Carpet Treatment, and that was Snoops last dope album, results speak for themselves.
