i already said mike & mike aren't the best hosts, but for what their show is supposed to be - a round up, light hearted, drive time show - it is executed perfectly. they have guests, analysts, and mindless banter that is standard for a morning show.

No lie I was reading that thread with nikkas complaining about the fill-ins on First Take and wanted to jump in there and ask why they weren't at work. Ended up just letting it be so I wouldn't have to deal with nikkas getting defensive.

i like them, but are they on ESPN's national radio site? also, the few times i did hear them on the radio, it was evening (when i was on the east coast). i'm not listening to the radio at home

i mean on espnradio site they usually have the featured show on at certain times thru the day
then later the best of it is put on their podcenter site. dont know what time you work but espnradio gets me thru the day when i've missed mike & mike, cowherd, or SVP

of course you can search for there tv shows and those are put on there

Dont know about the actual show but I was on a LeBard interview run on youtube the other day.

Weird interview setup but the questions are out of the box enough for me to like it.

The show is dope, although since going national I feel like they've definetly tried to overemphasize what made them unique. Like they would always have refreshing and challenging perception about how sports is viewed and now that's all they do even if an actual in game sports topic was bigger on the day.

Like Lebatard will go out of his way to be counter whereas when it was local it felt more natural and organic to the conversation.
Still a dope show but yeah if anyone is trying too hard its Dan himself. At times I think he also is finding a debate that isnt really there. But I suppose at the same time it is good and interesting that forms challenging opinons. The whole debate yesterday about why ESPN doesnt let anyone have a disscerning voice over the Michael Sam kiss (even though Dan himself said just the day before he was fine wit it and wondered why people still recoil to that image in 2014) was a bit forced but still a bit interesting in terms of how freedom of speech and opinon actually doesnt really exist.

my god this show can be obnoxious. the afternoon is usually when i listen to sports radio, ESPN radio is a go-to since i'm not always in the mood for a local focus and being on the west coast, i'm stuck with this god awful show on ESPN. most days i just turn the shyt off....i don't see how/why he gets praise on this site. i guess in small bits, he's ok, but he's like the corn unfunny person who swears they're hilarious. i hate cowherd as a person, but he's a much better host, i would settle for him in the afternoon....or bring back the gawd doug gotlieb
