In 32 playoff games not a single fish RB ran for 100 yards in any game he played in.

Typed all that bullshyt about a player you never saw in real tine and his experience only to co-sign a shytty fellow data mining hater who thinks Marino played on well rounded teams.

You focus on stopping Marino, the Fish never had a plan b.

You can word salad from here to tomorrow…it doesnt change what I posted above. The Fish offense was one dimensional trash. Never built for the playoffs.

Marino did not hold those team back. The Fish front office did never giving him a real backfield

I'll give a pass to '83, he was a rookie...

1984
•Dolphins ran for 143 yards vs Seattle, there goes your "no backfield" theory right out the gate. And they smoked Seattle so Marino's two picks thrown are probably more consequential if they don't outgain Seattle 143-51 on the ground...
•vs Pittsburgh, Miami has 134 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns, again no backfield?
•1stQ of the Super Bowl, Marino was 9/10 for 103 yards, TD, two scoring drives, 10-7 lead. Last 3 quarters? 20/40, 215, 0 TDs, 2 picks, outscored 31-6. They only had 25 yards rushing as a team, this is the first example of Marino looking shaky when he didn't have the run game to bail him out---->won't be the last. By the way, going from +3 to -25 is a team meltdown, Marino is part of the TEAM...

1985
•that comeback from down 21-3 to Cleveland is impressive. He got 92 yards and 2 touchdowns from his backfield to help him...
•excuse this AFC Championship loss to Marino for me. His offense turned the ball over 6 times--->SIX--->, three from Dan (fumble, two picks), to a team that got beat by 36 fukking points in the Super Bowl...

You riding hard, do you have any objectivity in you? Ain't no running game saving 6 turnovers, 3 from your GOAT QB to a team that wasn't great...

1986 thru 1989
29-31 record (.483), 4 straight missed playoffs. Averaged 30 TDs and 20 picks per season. Sounds like Eli or Rivers or Jameis to me. Let me guess though, no run game caused 4 straight missed playoffs?

1990
•another great comeback from down 16-3 vs KC, got 98 yards rushing from his backfield to aid the comeback...
•ended up down 20-3 before he knew what hit him, what's this pattern of going down big about? Got 105 yards from his backfield, another 2-pick game from Dan The Man surely didn't help...

1991
Misses playoffs. Has almost 4000 yards and 25 touchdowns, though...

1992
•got 157 yards and a touch from his backfield in smoking San Diego...
•lost by 19 at home in the AFC Championship to a team that lost by 35 in the Super Bowl. Are you serious here? You're down 26-3 at home going into the 4th vs a division rival that is 11-5 just like you...

This is the entirety of his prime. Two early round comebacks, multiple blowout losses and multi-pick games, and while he never had a premier back, he had a backfield most of the time. They didn't lose these games behind "no backfield"...

QBs in general are just better now than back then. Some of these throws are unreal. And that’s the cold heart facts:mjlit:

QBs of today don't even get hit much, of course they look better. Let's see em stand tall after taking a beating like those back in the day QBs did

We already agreed that he didn't have a premier running back with him. So with that out of the way, who was running for 90+ yards in these games to help him out? He wasn't running the ball himself...

I'm not datamining, I'm asking why are you ignoring these multiple turnover games, these slow starts, these blowout losses? You're not even addressing these points, they actually happened, I didn't make them up 😂. Either you were at school when these games happened or you have some kind of bias You're hanging on to that inhibits you from criticizing The Greatest Quarterback Of All Time...

Bullshyt. What is the purpose of posting those rushing numbers as if teams facing the dolphins went into games, saying “look out for that guy!!” In the backfield?

You posted a bunch of irrelevant game total stats as if that equals what teams schemed for when facing Marino’s Dolphins. :camby:

fukk outta here. Not a single player in the backfield gave teams someone other than Marino to scheme for so your post was trash and pointless.

I’d son any of these stat geeks you are cosigning. You really thought you were going to post game total rushing stats and think it made a point.

There was not a single threat in the backfield that Dan Marino ever handed the ball off to his playoff career.

Not a solitary one.
