So no one peep this yet? I've heard good things but I'm finishing mind hunter
I'm enjoying the hell out of this after 3 eps. People playing the Skeksis are acting their assess off. I'm sure it's not for everyone. Muppety in a good way. Dark Crystally in a good way. Surprised how big it feels. Visually more incredible than I thought it would be. What Netflix spend on this?
Loving the show so far but my problem with it is the voice over work. It's fukking horrible. Get some real voice actors over some famous actors. They should have had some old British folk that sounds like the original from the movie and be the narrarator for this one. The Skeksis cast does not sound good. Simon Pegg almost sounds like the original one/Chamberland. Mark Hamil channels his inner joker voice. He sounds good as well. Should have kept the whole cast british.

TBH i Have completely forgotten the original one and its prob for the better cause this feels totally new to me..
One word to describe: MAGICAL! Im only on episode 3 due to work but honestly i dont remember the last i was so drawn in into such a great new fantasy show. There is alot of lore and the views and music i feel like watching a dark fairy tale...
The puppets are beautiful alot of them simply hilarious and the voice work is great sure the cast is amazing but the Skeksis convos are funny/terrifying and every single time Deet talks i have a big ass grin on my face among many others...
Wish it was stickied to get it to many others and share the greatness especially in todays time where the apex of cinematography is considered to be superhero movies.....

I just watched the first episode...
I think the fukking use of puppets is STUPID... like stupid as fukk. I always thought puppets were fukking stupid and i feel that way now. I feel like it’s a waste of money...
But i will say the ending of the last episode shocked me. I never watched the first one mainly because I’m not a Jim Henson fan. But ill give it a couple more episodes before I completely write it off. Its not bad but it’s not my style at all. The puppets just look goofy and move awkwardly. And even the fact that most if the scenes are filmed above the waist to hide the puppeteers is goofy af.

Watched first episode and loved it.
My wife was on the couch saying how she was going dip cause it looked like something for kids
