I swear, there's nothing more

than coming into a thread and seeing a bunch of black people like "Why are they all holding up something over their eye?". They eye of Horus is one of the most popular symbols world wide, and through out all of history, and has transgressed into many facets of society. It's not something that just rose up from obscurity to popularity. The concept of an all seeing eye is something that transcends many layers of history and many cultures. You have more access to more media, that's the only difference. It's not any less or more of an iconic symbol than it already has been.
Honestly, instead of wasting your time trying to figure conspiracy theories out, go do some community service, help those around you. Ain't no conspiracy theory happening other than what you conspire to occupy your time thinking/worrying about.
I'm to the point now where I'm convinced that music execs do this shyt just to get people talking because they know you're looking for something to re-direct your attention to rather than actually doing something cause it's that damn easy. Ancient Egyptian history is a mystical thing indeed.
"Cover your eye up. That'll get them talking"

Creative directors makin' bank out chea.

It's really that simple. Those 2 sentence are all an artist needs these days because you can damn sure count on keyboard conspiracy theorist to promote and do the rest of the leg work.
Do you seriously realize how many people would have to be involved in these elaborate plots y'all have thought up? Seriously, everyone from execs, to VPs to creative directors, to art directors, to design teams, to photographers, to video directors, to camera men, to set designers, to wardrobe/costume designers, etc.
Honestly, if dudes were in some kind of secretive cult hell bent on world domination from the upper echelons of society, you think it'd be that easy for you to find out?

You think that many people would be tied up in the shyt? You'd be able to find out stuff from watching Youtube videos and reading blogs? You think they'd be doing shyt out in the open?
Is there a mass dumbing down of the people? Maybe, our media is cheap. But people's minds are also being heightened in ways not imagined before. We are probably one of the smartest generations thus far, leading the technological era. Music has always been something that flows on trends and band-wagoning though. That will never change.
Instead of "dark forces" behind our music, you need to be worried about what your congressman, senator, governors, etc. are doing. Chances are what they are doing is a lot more imperative to your future in this country than a Rihanna album cover. Don't get distracted.
