The industry been doing this. Ymcmb is sacrificing black ulture to embrace white culture and is watering down the soulness we as a people have possessed for centuries

TS I see where you coming from, and I also have been noticing all the Molly references in hip hop. But it's been happening for a while. After the rockin of African medalions, it went to throw ya guns in the air, to the we can smoke more blunts then you in an hour, to we get our coke shipped on boats, and polly with Lacosanostra, to you need to sip this drank, to now, you need molly in ya life. They been steadily lettin these rappers slide these new if ya aint on this wave you a lame references, and people been gobbling them up.

We all gotta know that these songs reach the masses, at the speed of sound, and can be really impressionable to a gullable child. I mean a few words from Cam, and Jay had clowns rockin pink, and button ups. Really?

What stops this crap though? A strong mind, and good Parents that help build that strong mind to let you know that ish is just entertainment and don't be a follower. I listened to hip hop all my life, but I don't let my life be defined by hip hop. If peoples kids are fallin for the influences of hip hop...I think it's time to start lookin at the parents guiding those kids. They gotta let em know not to fall for the okie doke.

The op asked a very very good question; Why is there barely any outrage regarding Cheif Keef? Thats a young man, do you not find it disgusting that they uprooted a troubled mind from our community and paid him to embrace and push a message of self destruction for their own gain?

Let me ask you someting; is there a white equivalent to cheif keef? Is there a 17 year old white boy solo artist taliking about all that bullsht keef talks about? In fact, is there a white 17 year old sighned that talkes about any explicit shyt on their albums? If there is let me know, but im pretty sure there isnt. Record labels wouldnt dare allow anything like that materialize because they know white power groups would shut that sht down quickly and make sure they never operate again.

I dont know about all this consipiracy/illuminati talk, but two things artists like Cheif Keef prove is that the majority of the black community is destructively apathetic and that record labels are feeding of our destruction for their own gain.

My friend, if ever you take time out to ever visit a record company one thing you will learn very quickly...

record companies are not concerned with uplifting or destroying the black community....

all they are concerned about is as making as much money as possible....thats it, period.... that is the masterplan

if they think will smith is gonna make them a truckload of money with his positive image they will push him, vice versa if they think Chiek keef is gonna be the next big thing they will push him also

you really think that at the annual shareholders meetings they are discussing the effect of their artists on the black community...fukkoutahere..... all they care about is profit/loss/dividend

The sooner a lot of you people start to really think like adults you will understand how the real world works

Exactly, thats the problem.

Is the fact that record companies are willing to promote destructive stereotypes of black children - that ultimaly have a powerfull voice heard by other children within our communities - for money not a problem? Is that not somthing we as a people should stand aganinst?

In essence you're saying,"hey, its ok if they pull young minds out our buildings and used them to promote destructive stereotypes for a profit", does the fact that they are doing this for monetry purpouses make it any better? Of course not.

You're making yourself look very uneducated and naive. Have you ever taken a media theory course ? You do understand the media is one of the largest cultural transmitters , right ? Movies and Music shape and direct large facets of our lives. You're saying these labels arent concerned with uplifting or destroying our community , but they are concerned with PRESERVING a culture predicated on consumerism and violence that uplifts THEIR community. Have you read about how Jay Z was asked by commissioner Stern to "change clothes" again , after NBA merchandise sales began to fall ? Do you realize that in the 1930's Harry Anslinger said this in his campaign to have Marijuana banned
"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana usage. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others

Capital Hill is having discussions right now on the effects of violent video games , and the country is engaged right now in a contentious debate over gun laws. What people like you dont understand is , the media is forcing you to think about these things. The Agenda setting theory states the media does not tell you HOW to think , but they tell you what to think about. You are being told whats important whether you know it or not. Chief Keef is not profitable in terms of record sales , but the image and message he conveys is of utmost importance. Taylor Swift and Adele are going diamond right now .. Why wouldn't Jimmy Iovine be on the hunt for the next Adele or Lady Gaga ? Keef just got his whole tour canceled , but according to you , all they're concerned about is profit/loss. I bet Lil Reese's album gets dropped , and they make the same fukking music. With all that being said , I think its very "adult" of us to be asking these critical questions.

i blame you, the listeners. people give you what you "want". the only reason why shyt like this is prevalent is because you don't shun it completely...

Who's asking for this ? Keef is only projected to sell between 45-55k units.. Rozays employees sell more units than him , but yet Ross gets an album released every year.

Destructive music has existed forever. It's not exclusive to hiphop either.
We're talking a totally different degree of "destruction".. Its not even comparable.

just because it isn't selling high doesn't mean people aren't asking for it. that's not the only artist pushing out shyt like that either...

@Reaganomics

If you remember a few months ago(when the molly craze in hip hop was starting out) we predicted that this was going to happen. Now every dikkriding negro wants to try molly as if it hasn't been popular for like a decade.

But it's just music right? :manny:

Exactly.. The higher-ups understand how the game works.. Get control of their minds (Molly) and feed them a bunch of toxic music that encourages them to kill each-other and buy luxury items. Kids these days are actually tattooing brands on themselves ! I know its an uphill battle , Don. But if one or two people can take something away from what we post , its worth it.

im not a c@c doe :jawalrus:

You may have been infected with cac thoughts though. Tread carefully. Most record labels are a front for drugs so whatever the drug of choice thats being sold at the time, its going to be reflected int he music.

I agree breh, that's why I've officially began to venture out to other genres of music like Jazz because I can't listen to the garbage coming out of the radios that they call rap nowadays:what:

I'm starting to find myself grow tired of rap music alot now, it's like every song sounds the same:what: Every hook nowadays is some dumb brain cell reducing chant rather than a creative crafting of words and there's no soul in the shyt no more. nikkas just do it to get paid now and to get bytches.

Hip Hop today is not like how it was when it first came out nor is it like black music of the past which always were uplifting and made you feel good, it's all negative shyt that inspire masses of dikk riders to hop on the newest trend that comes out, no more originality.

I love Hip-Hop and I will always listen to my 90's shyt during the golden era and I'll listen to the few real artists out here now like Cole, Kendrick, and Krit ,but as far as the rap culture as a whole the whole culture is becoming demonic

I don't know if I see myself listening to this shyt 10 yrs from now when I'm 30. :snoop:
