TS I see where you coming from, and I also have been noticing all the Molly references in hip hop. But it's been happening for a while. After the rockin of African medalions, it went to throw ya guns in the air, to the we can smoke more blunts then you in an hour, to we get our coke shipped on boats, and polly with Lacosanostra, to you need to sip this drank, to now, you need molly in ya life. They been steadily lettin these rappers slide these new if ya aint on this wave you a lame references, and people been gobbling them up.
We all gotta know that these songs reach the masses, at the speed of sound, and can be really impressionable to a gullable child. I mean a few words from Cam, and Jay had clowns rockin pink, and button ups. Really?
What stops this crap though? A strong mind, and good Parents that help build that strong mind to let you know that ish is just entertainment and don't be a follower. I listened to hip hop all my life, but I don't let my life be defined by hip hop. If peoples kids are fallin for the influences of hip hop...I think it's time to start lookin at the parents guiding those kids. They gotta let em know not to fall for the okie doke.
