The Dark Knight is one of the most overrated flicks of all time

It's overrated in the sense that it's top 5/top 10 on a lot of ratings sites, when it clearly is not a top 10 movie of all time. It's still a great movie however.

tired of mofo's overrated this movie treating it like its the holy bible

- batman's voice alone is enough to take away from the overall experience
- when harvey dent became two face, he got minimum screen time and then he died. No character development at all.
- maggie gyllinghall sucked.
- take away heath ledger and you have a very subpar flick.


Speaking of ledger, I think his performance is what made the movie what it is and his death and the fact that it was his last movie adds to the mystic. I can watch batman returns more than tdk.

cosign. Outside of heath ledger's performance and him killing himself, the movie is pretty much avg. Action scenes were weak; no good fighting sequences; and of course batman's trash voice.
ONe thing I hated about these movies is that nolan always gets wack chicks. First it was katie holmes, than that random chick; and now ann hathaway.

lol @ Heath's death having any kind of effect on the greatness of TDK. he shut up all the doubters (about 99% of haters when his name was announced) and came wit a once in a lifetime performance. Everybody I knew said the trailer alone was the best they had ever seen. Nobody expected that turn on the Joker, it was a complete surprise and he deserved the recognition he got. Thats like saying Scarface is overrated b/c everything about it was average except Pacino's performance. oh and...

I don't think anyone cared when Rachel died...and I'm not sure if that's because Maggie Gyllenhaal was playing her or because the character was annoying.
