The Dark Tournament Saga on YuYu Hakusho was better than any Saga on Dragonball Z

Future Trunks coming out of nowhere and fukking freiza up in 10 seconds and then goku coming back and shyting on trunks right after that

The androids being unstoppable until cell comes around and ruins everything for them

All the saiyns getting that hyperbolic time chamber stimulus package

Vegeta getting that Bulma p*ssy and krillin doesn't die and actually gets the girl

That self sacrifice from android 16 had a young nikka balling

Vegeta being Vegeta, LET cell go to his perfect form on purpose. (Always hated that nikka for that)

Goku passing the baton (even though he knew he could beat cell) to Gohan and that nikka going super Saiyan 2 had me like

Not gunna lie though all the anime back then was RAW as fukk ( had yu yu hakusho, ronin kenshi, cowboy bebop, and DBZ on heavy rotation)

DBZ should have ended here, to be honest. That tournament 7 years later should have gone ahead normally without any of the Babidi/Majin stuff and Buu coming out. All the loose ends were tied up--Vegeta reconciled with his son and had a family with Bulma, Piccolo and Kami were one again, Krillin got a wife, a family, and a happy ending, Future Trunks had gone back to his own time, Goten and Trunks represented the next generation, and Goku had passed the torch onto Gohan.

At the same time though, while DBZ deserves respect for coming up with the recipe, but I think Yu Yu and One Piece were legit better series.
I miss those days... of Yu Yu, Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing, Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Trigun. It had a young blerd like
