Basically instead of you needing a cable box/cable card to watch HBO/Showtime/etc an app on your tv could be able to decrypt the channel. Or an Apple TV, Roku, etc.

I think this is a great thing, but cable + DVR is only $20/mo more than just internet for me. Just basic, no HBO or w/e. They are getting desperate I think. U would be surprised what kind of deal they would be willing to cut :frommido:
