I distinctly remember Jim Sterling talking about this ten years ago regarding ethics and Youtube content folks. And I'm pretty sure he wasn't the only one.



It's the same thing plaguing journalism across the board, everybody's trying to cut corners and you get what you get. Either you have one standard of professionalism for everybody or there will be no standard.

I'm about 20 minutes in but I hope this blows up and gets talked about in the gaming community because its very true that hype has replaced gaming journalism.
This is in pretty much every industry. You want to cop anything, look at the reviews,and half of them are people that get the stuff for free and paid to advertise it. If you leave a bad review they can have bots do a couple generic reviews to offset your 1 star.
