I got a lot of flack for it and I understand why, but almost everything I said single payer advocstes would have to answer and explain was brought up.

Bernie did a great job adressing them.

Sign me up. :ehh:

Edit: I'm not discrediting his defense of ACA. He's always been good there too.

I agree with this. Open enrollment got slashed. And the cost sharing payments have been threatened to be cut off but then paid out. Both of them should have highlighted that.

Yep this stuck out like a sore thumb to me. I was saying it to myself whenever the knuckleheads would begin talking about "Obamacare is failing" and I was hoping either Bernie or Klobuchar addressed it. Neither did and it was frustrating.

Amy Klobuchar transcended this. Made Bernie look dumb as fukk.
I won't say she did shytty, but she was not advocating much for anything outside of "We should work together" ala John Kaisch. If this was supposed to be her breakout introduction, she didn't inspire anyone to say "KLOBACHAR FOR 2020!!"

Here is where the contrast is even more stark. On one hand, you have Graham and Cassidy saying "Democrats are wrong! We are strongly advocating for our side! Return control back to the states!" while Klobachar was basically "Both sides has good ideas". This is the epitome of the messaging problem for dems I think. A lack of conviction in just saying that the republicans are fukking wrong. Always has to appeal to some moderate middle road fallacy. It appeals to no one. Republican voters know what they want and Republican politicians, love them or hate them, are strong advocates for their side. Democrats are always reactive and never confrontational on these issues in calling bullshyt bullshyt.

I will agree with one thing you said that you got a bit of pushback on, its a damn shame Anthony weiner ruined his career because folks like him and Alan Grayson were vocal in their support for their beliefs. None of this meandering bullshyt. I always remember that about those two in particular.

But you're wrong that she made Bernie looked foolish. Bernie did what Democrats at large need to be doing which is being a strong advocate for why you're right and they're wrong.

He is a doc :smugfavre:
Yeah actually I misspoke. He isn't retarded but he is retardedly bad at being a politician because he doesn't know how to lie well enough.

My mom is a doctor and she hates most of these "republican docs" because they always pull the "as a physician.." card before they outright lie and if they are a somewhat aware physicians know they're lying. She finds it repulsive they use their credentials to deceive people who are not medically trained. She really hates that tom price dude.

At the end of day, these dudes are just trying to get money in their pocket.
