No doubt. The Lakers fell out and got a few top 10 picks, Mavs picked in the top 15 once since 1999, and we decided to trade down and selected 5'11" Shane Larkin with that .

We have no future. Justin Anderson and Dwight Powell look like they can be solid role players, but we don't have anything after that.

We have the worst scouting department in the league. I can only think of Josh Howard, Jae Crowder, and Devin Harris as picks who have done anything in the league since 1999.

I pick 1999 because our franchise turned around the yr before that when we got Dirk. But looks like we're headed for the dark days of the 90s again

Real talk Dallas is the worst team in the playoffs. After Dirk retires next season it's gone take them years to be competive again. Parsons and Mathews are nothing but role players and Cuban hasn't played the lottery game in a long time. Im afraid It's back to the dark ages for the mavs

Local TV ratings have plummeted since the title run because 1) the team isn't very good and 2) the roster turns over every year but nothing happens to improve it

We rode a JJ Barea hot streak/Parsons not being around to fukk things up into the playoffs and OKC held us to 70 mothafukking points in a playoff game

I love Dirk to death and I feel like he could play until he's 40 but if this is the best we can do, barely make the playoffs and get obliterated in the first round, I'd rather he retire and the team just fall to shyt so we can rebuild. We've never landed top tier talent in free agency despite the many attempts, we don't draft well, and if it weren't for Dirk ascending to top 5 PF of all time status and a collection of players coming together like Voltron in 2011 we'd have NOTHING to show for the last 15 or so years of Cuban's ownership.

Edit: I still voted Mavs in 6 because there was a point in time where that was my default answer to every playoff series the Mavs were in, but if we even MAKE it to 6 games I'll be happy. Experts predicted this Mavs team would win 30 games max and I'm glad to at them and overcome that but ... we fukking suck. Our rivals are supposed to be San Antonio and I haven't even clapped in that direction for 2 years because what's the fukking point? They're much better than us. At least Houston can't get shyt right and they're easy to make fun of with James and The Ass Eating Beard and Fright Coward (if Cuban makes overtures to that fakkit in free agency I might go down to Dallas and fight him)
