The Decline of Madden(Warning:This is sad and hard to watch)

Honestly Madden was just the most consistent year over year........but the competition was always on Madden's ass and more innovative.

Game Day 98 and 99 was better than Madden 98 and 99 because they were the first football game to have 3D polygonal graphics.

Just as Game Day was fizzling out 2K dropped.

It got to the point where I found myself needing to buy both Madden/Game Day or Madden/2K.

Ever since the exclusive licensing, Madden has just been pretty weak and lacking innovation ever since then.

Don't forget about Quarterback Club.... they had that in 97 also.

The GOAT Madden game for me is Madden 2005 with Ray Lewis on the cover.

2004 was great but I felt that they perfected everything on 2005 and I liked they made the defenses more challenging. I wanna pick up a PS2 and play it again….

Madden 2005 was the last one I really played a lot.

I had to look it up based on the soundtrack.

A lot of you live in nostalgia lane with the 2k riding, Madden has its bugs but Game Play is very solid. It’s almost as if you live with blinders on not seeing the major issues in 2k Basketball which is the biggest thing 2k has the leading basketball game has an entire online franchise mode that has no working system, features like mentorship not working, players don’t progress, drafting is horrible. Hell aside from that NBA players who are pros are damn near unusable cause the entire badge system dictates if your player can do a simple lay up or get a rebound regardless of your stats unless you have a badge for it And you stuck in a cycle of if 2k made Football again it would be good.

What I have a hard time figuring out is how y’all define what should be possible by being good with the sticks and what should abide strictly by football logic?

Straight up glitches I understand, that’s bad. But a lot of times y’all post a human player juking other human players which should always be possible.
