The Decline of Madden(Warning:This is sad and hard to watch)

Alongside with myself and pop watson’s dad was my other homie who we all rocked out the first madden on commodore 64. He was on the EA forums about 15 years ago talking about the improvements they needed to make and they flew him to California along with five other people.

He was a BIGGER 2K5 fan. I will get some more details about his time there, but he was pissed that they didn’t take any of his suggestions

I always liked the '93 championship edition with more classic teams

They even had the All-Redskins,All-Raiders,etc. teams.

It use to go down.Walter Payton was impossible to tackle.

That’s the reason why the NFL did the exclusive deal with EA games were all 49.99-54.99 and these 2k a$$holes came with a 19.99 game totally undercutting everyone

Nah it was EA as well as the NFL. EA didn't like how 2k capitalized off the early release and it being $30 cheaper and the NFL didn't like it based off the fact that a new NFL game was being sold for $20

And who do you think planted that idea in the NFL's head? The NFL already got their money from EA and Take 2 (2k) via the license fee already. Game could've been sold for 1 dollar or 100 dollars and it didn't matter.

The idea of exclusivity was brought up by EA because they knew no one would/could outbid them. They saw their cash cow threatened and pulled out all stops to end competitiveness instead of just letting your product do the talking.

Madden should dominate in America but 2k does. U can play multiple Full seasons without simulating unlike nba, baseball & hockey. which Makes it great to play with friends. That feature alone should be the reason 2k can’t fukk with Madden. But EA refuses to make the game anything sim wise. I can play a game of 2k with 12 minute quarters and get realistic results. there is no way u can in Madden on 15 minute quarters without averaging 100+ points

That’s not the reason it don’t dominate bro. Kids don’t wanna play no damn season they wanna play quick myplayer or mut in and out games with they friends.

Buy players and don’t go thru no struggle at all.

With that said this madden gameplay is absolutely better then any 2k lol and most previous maddens.

Some of y’all are loss and on some old head shyt.

I’m 32, I was around to play madden 05 and 2k5. shyt wasn’t that great.

And honestly some of the complaints y’all make is more to do with user skill then anything

Also if you ain’t play in 15 years you Gonna be trash for an entire gaming cycle. Cause the game has changed so much that you not gonna be able to fully grasp the controls
