Agreed. Everything I needed to know about being a real man came from introspection and watching admirable men operate.

Typically the definition of "real men" comes from a scorned lady who is checking a list of things a man should do or what he should be that she never asked for out of

men she dealt with before.

Ignore that and define what manhood is for yourself. Only a man knows what that is.
