jury deliberation should have been like 2 minutes max, what is there to discuss? :francis:

  • Potential payola
  • Relocation options
  • The decision is already made but bought time to avoid a bloodbath within this country
  • Backdoor discussions to those involved to ensure a possible way of escape
  • Lenient charges as a secondary option
Bottom line, dude is walking and this "show" is just a way to buy time and build the pockets of the news media:francis:

Yeah with this amount of time spent, its clear some of the jurors are pushing for nonguilty.

no other reason for it to take this long, whole case caught in 1080p HD video from 360 degrees angles. your mind shouldve been made up a year ago on the verdict.
Black people ain't considered people by the law

Been telling y'all it thinks we're 3/5ths a person and this case will prove it

A whole trial and deliberation for a murder everyone saw on camera

That's part of the problem. We all saw a murder, but they're asking the jury to determine if it's one of three types of killing; Second Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder, or Second Degree Manslaughter. We might not get an answer until next week.

Third-degree murder charge
Third-degree murder is unintentionally causing someone’s death by committing an act that is eminently dangerous to other persons while exhibiting a depraved mind, with reckless disregard for human life. Chauvin is accused of committing or intentionally aiding in the commission of this crime. Under Minnesota law, an act that is eminently dangerous is one that “is highly likely to cause death,” Cahill told jurors. “The defendant’s act may not have been specifically intended to cause death,” and “it may not have been specifically directed at the person whose death occurred, but it must have been committed with a conscious indifference to the loss of life,” said the judge.

Second-degree manslaughter charge
Second-degree manslaughter is culpable negligence where a person creates an unreasonable risk and consciously takes the chance of causing death or great bodily harm to someone else. Chauvin is charged with committing or intentionally aiding in the commission of this crime.

“Culpable negligence is intentional conduct that the defendant may not have intended to be harmful, but that an ordinary and reasonably prudent person would recognize as having a strong probability of causing injury to others,” Cahill told jurors.
