It was never a death sentence. People usually don’t go to jail for 100 years off of one murder. Especially a cop. 22 years is normal based on other murder cases we’ve seen in the media.

Most people are not doing 65 years for a murder idc what you say. It has to be more stuff to get that level of sentencing. Rappers done shot nikkas and came home in 15.

nikkas are delusional. In what universe is a COP getting 22 years considered 'light'. It is rare
Exactly it's like nikkas wishing for the worst out of this sentence. 22½ full years is nowhere near light, especially for a cop. Sure it's not 40 or life but it's for sure a lot of years ever given to a former cop.

It ain't gonna be 22½ years of sweet living in jail that's gonna be 22 years of hard times for a former cop in maximum prison. The inmates gonna eat him alive.

These aren't rational thoughts coming from rational people. nikkas are (rightfully) pissed at Derek Chauvin and lashing out. They could have given him the Omega Sanction and some dudes would still say it wasn't enough.

In reality, you're right. A cop getting fired for killing an unarmed black man is already rare enough. For him to be arrested, charged, convicted, and sentenced, is an absolute miracle. 22 years sounds about right to me.

Yes militant coli brehs... George Floyd would have gotten life if the roles had been reversed. But truthfully, there's no such thing as equality and life ain't fair. It's a game of hierarchies, and unfortunately just about every cop ranks higher than just about every black man in the eyes of the law.

Be glad we got justice this time.

22 years on a body is light. That's a plea offer status. Most cats down for a body would jump on anything near 20.
Light? I’ve seen people plea out and get 10 years for murder on first 48 unless y’all wanna tell me first 48 is fictional now. If I was the judge I would have gave him the max but 22 years ain’t no light sentence especially for a cop. Considering they barely get charged.

He ain’t doing none of that in general
pop. He got off light
22 years is an eternity for a cop who is not built for prison. Think about the level of bytchassness that flows through that cacs veins to do what he (got caught) doing. The man could not fight back and was no threat. Yet he felt he could kill him and walk away. Someone who could do that to a person is not built to handle an actual threat to his safety.

He will be killed in prison or he will kill himself. If youre a C.O. you know having a prisoner like him will make your job way harder since every day people will try and kill him. From sun up to sundown he will have to worry about if someone will stab him, snap his neck, or choke him. So its easy to see them giving up on trying to keep him safe.

If there is any cosmic irony in this world, he will die gasping to breathe and his neck gon snap like a carrot.
