Going in the 3rd round or later and you are super fukked...because then your contract is pro-rated to how much you are on the field...
Them dudes literally get thrown out their to pass block until they brains turn to silly putty and then are never heard from again...
or special teams, or kr or pr and the following year another crop of dudes are ready to take your spot.
look at kendall hunter, great college career drafted by 49ers to be backup to gore, next year they draft lamichael james, next year they draft lattimore and this year they draft carlos hyde.
not to mention trent richardson ruined it for all backs with his bust status
there still are great backs, teams just dont see the point of drafting high when they cna get you in the second.
you dont think jeremy hill or carlos hyde are first round talent?
i guess we will see next year with todd gurley and melvin gordon

The sad part is, if you named the top 15 offensive players in the NFL, Shady and AP would be in that......
