I'm not surprised by anything at this point. I think Diddy is technically guilty, but that doesn't mean that someone couldnt find reasonable doubt. The jury is made up of regular people and they have had to sit and listen for weeks about Diddy's weird fetishes that he engaged in for years. Cassie (and Jane too I think) had admitted in messages that she enjoyed some freak offs and wanted to continue to have a relationship with Diddy. If they were cool with it (to keep doing it for years, accept the lavish lifestyle, and not pursue charges), how does the jury decide which freakoff was acceptable and which one wasn't? I don't think there is anything Cassie said in trial to make things bad for the prosecution.
The case just seems all over the place (key figures getting immunity and Cudi's testimony making the star witness look bad). Maybe the jury is better than me, but everyone in the case just seems grimy and I really don't care what the trial result is. There were no charges in real time for some of the things he's accused of. Everyone just seemed more concerned about Diddy's wealth/fame than going to authorities.
Like you said, it only takes one juror to keep puff out of jail. If one juror was upset or judgmental about Cassie/Jane's actions, the worst of the charges could go away. The only bright spot about all of this is that Cassie got paid before the money dried up. If Diddy did half of the things he got accused of in trial (Rape/Car bombing), he should have known that jail was part of his future unless he gets a Trump pardon.
