Y is it hard to accept that these guys are nothing alike and never will be. Promotion has a lot to do with that. When Jay was going around saying he was the best rapper most people believed it. Why? Because if a person says something enough people start to believe it. When Nas came in the game he proly just wanted to make an album get some bread and fukk some groupies. When Jay got in the game he proly wanted to break records and get all the money. (Which ended up happening anyway) But the biggest difference and i hate to say it, is Nas is somewhat lazy. U don't see him all on the radio and giving interviews like Jay and other rappers. He rarely makes apperances at award shows and whatnot. I believe he just wants to be judged by the music. Nothing more nothing less.

Nas just started promoting his albums recently. Could it be because he needed it to be succesful as it could be so he could pay off his debts. And maybe Jay don't give as much interviews as he used to, but he used to be all over BET and MTV and the radio when a new album dropped. Now his name sells the records for him. U say we don't see him but he was at The BET Awards and i think he performed last year at the HIp Hop awards. And any real fan of NAs will tell u that he's always been considered somewhat lazy. Taking forever between projects and not releasing mixtapes to hold us over. Some call it perfecting the craft, i call it lazy. And i'm the biggest Nas fan u will find.

What are you talking about "Oprah", the year he did Oprah he did Big Boy, Funk Flex, Cypha and Rosenbergs podcast, Angie Ma mad people all over the world. Both him and Kanye skipped the interviews for Watch The Throne, jay swung by Hot97 as usual and gave "us" a 5-10 minute interview that was it. It has nothing to do with being lazy, they weren't feeling like promoting their album.

That being said Jay-z's discography minus BP2/Kingdom Come trump
Nas' ....Jay-Z's business acumen was developed over time , in 98-00 he had $$ but he wasn't anywhere near where he is now, he was that dude then bc he was killin the game by dropping consistent hits and manages to stay relevant /in a constant state of career elevation

Nas however, while certainly putting out great albums /music as well had WAY more lulls in his career. Even now w LIG, I don't hear anybody outside of the Internet really rockin w that LP like that. As a Nas fan it's always dope to hear new shyt from him but c'mon now it's reaching to say his discog/amount of classics is even coming close to Jay.
