what is the point of this thread exactly?

ethnicity is based on where you descend from
culture is dependent on where and how you are raised
race is based on physical attributes like skin color.

it isnt that complicated

a person can be racially black, ethnically nigerian but born raised in the united states.
said person is thus a black person who is ethnically nigerian but culturally american (and nigerian depending on how his parents raised him)

As it pertains to love for ourselves, I don't care what any group that is not us think or say about it. I also don't have a problem with other groups expressing love for being their own ethnicity.
