The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
As a person who is also a Dipset stan from 02-06, there's no need to lie to yourself about this song. It's literally the best song they've done as a whole since that period. People keep talking about "evolution" and "progression", but if the shyt sounds good, who the hell cares? Give me a song where artists are staying true to their roots and sounding good vs what people consider "evolving", which honestly is just code for left-field trash. I don't care at all to here Dipset members over Metro Boomin', Southside, TM88, etc, cause I hear enough from those producers with Gucci, OJ, Future, etc. Now if Dipset wants to work with Daringer and Harry Fraud, I'm 100% behind that, cause that would compliment them more than Metro, etc beats that everybody is using in the first place.

Cam'ron's tape was very average outside of 4 songs, but you know who put out a much better tape than Cam this week? Hell Rell.
:hubie: We will just have to agree to disagree. Cam and Jim took a step back and sound :flabbynsick: compared to their hey day :manny:

I will check that Rell tape though.

:hubie: You got it OG. And i agree this shyt is hard.

:salute:

for the record, i get what you're saying, and i aint tryna shyt on ya opinion... but there's a whole argument about cam and jim choosing "modern" shyt and sounding like trash. that's probably why some people ain't feeling that idea. also, dipset is responsible for a lot of this modern shyt! but personally, i never, ever thought i would hear new cam + jim + heatmakerz again. i been playing this shyt on a loop since it dropped. i dont care what the future holds, or how they should approach a comeback. i'm just :blessed:.

and hoping we can get one more with juelz. :wow:

That was pretty much my point in my last post. Juelz rapped over a bunch of "modern" stuff on that God Will'n mixtape, and that was probably one of the worst mixtapes I've ever heard. Dipset needs to stick with AraabMuzik and Heatmakerz. The closest they need to go with an "modern" sound is Daringer, Harry Fraud, and various producers that work with ASAP Mob.

trust me breh. those of us who've stayed on the ship since the glory years know exactly why you don't wanna hear them go modern :mjcry:.

i dont wanna say it wouldn't work. it COULD. i'm just saying i understand. :sadcam:

2 pages, song wil be forgotten by Saturday.

I learned about G Rap from Mobb Deep album. Went and looked him up.

I learned about Kane through the verse he did on Big L album. Went and looked him up.

Don’t get it twisted. I knew about them. But them doing features that my generation could connect with stretched their longevity.

You have to always connect with what’s new but add your flavor to it.

Y’all just wanna be old and miserable.

It makes me sad how dumb and close minded Rap fans are in this generation.
i'm not one to quote posts of already quoted posters but...you have to be trolling. how the fukk could a hip hop head not appreciate g rap or kane before their sons??? not saying you didn't i'm just very confused by this post. dipset was being embraced by their actual creators. ill never forget rakim and pete rock cosigning the dips. it had the "real hip hop" crowd agitated as fukk. they were all about beats and rhymes. maybe not the entire group but god knows cam was writing for the majority and the production was the some of the best of its time.
